On May 24th, DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Company Limited held the naming ceremony for the third 38,800-ton bulk carrier built for SINOTRANS Shipping LTD. Li Hua, the Managing Director of SINOTRANS Shipping LTD, Yao Xuecun, the General Manager of Qinhuangdao Branch of China Classification Society, Jin Baogang, the Vice Minister of China Shipbuilding Trading Company, Yao Hongshan, the Member of the Party Committee of DSIC and General Manager of Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Company Limited, attended the ship delivery ceremony. Ms. Feng Guoying named the ship “Da Min”.

DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Company Limited built a total of 6 bulk carriers of 38,800-ton for SINOTRANS Shipping LTD. “Da Mei” and “Da Li” of this series were delivered in succession this year. During the operation, strong support was provided for the shipowners in realizing diversified management by virtue of excellent performance and superior construction quality, and significant contributions were made for the shipowners to optimize fleet structure and build modern fleet. In the construction process of "Da Min", the shipowner, the shipyard and the classification society cooperated closely, summarized experience of the previous ships, and constantly optimized the production, process and management process, so as to improve the ship quality and greatly improve the trial integrity, which was praised by the shipowner.
