The No.16 210,000dwt bulk carrier, built for Norway FrontLine by Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry of DSIC, sailed out of port at 10 a.m. on April 20 for a seven-day sea trial that will complete 44 navigation test projects.

The ship has a total length of appr 300.00meters, a width of 49.00 meters, a depth of appr 25.30 meters, a design draft of appr 16.10 meters, a structural draft of appr 18.60 meters and a design speed of appr 14.2 knots. It is built in accordance with the rules and regulations of ABS and flying Marshall islands flag.

The mooring test stage of this ship is a crucial period for our country to fight against COVID 19 epidemic unitedly to win the battle of prevention and control of the epidemic and the resumption of production. All the participants who have undertaken the construction of the ship always adhered to the firm belief that "As long as the spirit does not slide, there will be more ways than difficulties", overcame many adverse factors such as the service providers, shipowners, ship inspection, materials, some construction personnel can not be scheduled to the plant ,to launch a charge to the scheduled trial node on time. Focusing on the key points of epidemic prevention and control, we concentrated on the difficulties in production and construction, got through communication and negotiation barriers, and customized the management scheme of "one ship, one strategy". The test participants took the initiative to optimize the operation process, expand the operation area, improve the construction efficiency, and actively took forward management, forward command, careful arrangement, and multiple measures to ensure the realization of the trial node on schedule.

In order to complete the management of this trial voyage, Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry has formulated the epidemic prevention and control management plan during the trial voyage, clarified the responsibility, implemented it to the specific personnel, and strictly implemented various measures to ensure the safety of the personnel. Detailed planning and formulation of the navigation test special plan laid a solid foundation for the successful completion of the trial.
